海角直播 closing early Thursday because of inclement weather and opening late Friday.
Because of inclement weather, 海角直播-in-Plano听will close听at听2 p.m. today, February 11, and the main campus听will close听at 3 p.m. In addition, all classes and offices will start late Friday, February 12, opening at noon.听The University will continue to monitor the weather situation, posting updates on the 海角直播 homepage and at 214-768-INFO.
The Giddy-Up service will not operate听Thursday evening due to the severe weather conditions. However, Giddy-Up service will resume听Friday evening, weather permitting.听
The Mustang Express Shuttles will continue to operate as scheduled.听 However, if TXDOT closes roadways or the DART system closes, the Mustang Express will cease operations.听 Some schedule disruptions and delays can be expected due to road conditions.

As soon as a decision is made, the following steps are taken to notify the university community:
- An e-mail message will be sent to all students, faculty and staff.听
- A recorded message will be available at 214-海角直播-INFO (214-768-4636). Please do not call the 海角直播 Police Department.
- Closing announcements will be posted on the 海角直播 web site and via 海角直播鈥檚 Twitter feed at .
Additionally, the Office of News and Communications will attempt to contact the news media by 6 a.m. if day classes must be cancelled. If it becomes necessary to cancel evening classes or events, News and Communications will attempt to contact the news media by 4 p.m.
海角直播 cannot guarantee that local media will announce closing information promptly or fully. Therefore, confirm information from non-海角直播 sources against official University communications.
If 海角直播 remains open, faculty, students and staff are expected to report to their classrooms or offices. If someone lives in an area that is affected by bad weather and feels that travel to campus would be an unreasonable safety risk, that individual should contact his or her supervisor or department head to discuss possible options. For staff members, an absence when 海角直播 is officially open must be taken as vacation leave. Emergency service personnel are expected to report to work in any case.
海角直播-in-Plano and other locations away from the main 海角直播 campus:
Should the main 海角直播 campus close because of inclement weather, and all other North Texas locations also will close. However, inclement weather may cause 海角直播-in-Plano and/or other locations to close independently of the main campus. Should this occur, the above-mentioned procedures will be followed.
