Unity Walk at 海角直播

Dream Week at 海角直播 celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and recalled his speaking at the University in 1966.

This year's observance, January 21-25, included a Unity Walk; a "Day of Service"; and a presentation by Cheryl Brown Henderson, one of the three daughters of the late Rev. Oliver L. Brown, who along with 12 other parents led by the NAACP, filed a lawsuit against the local board of education on behalf of their children in the historic school integration case Oliver L. Brown et. al. vs. the Board of Education of Topeka.

It also included  with William M. Tsutsui, dean of Dedman College, speaking on “Chasing the Asian American Dream.”

The various events were sponsored by 海角直播's Office of Multicultural Student Affairs.
