海角直播 supports 'It's On Us' to end sexual violence
海角直播 supports the national 鈥淚t鈥檚 On Us鈥 campaign to raise awareness of sexual assault.
海角直播 students, administrators, faculty and staff have created a video in support of the national campaign to raise awareness of sexual assault and violence.
The It’s On Us National Week of Action is Nov. 17-21, with events planned at universities across the country.
On Tuesday, Nov. 18, the 海角直播 Women’s Interest Network is leading , a university-wide event to raise awareness of sexual violence. The event begins at 8 p.m. in 海角直播's Hughes-Trigg Student Center.
On Sunday, November 16, 海角直播 Peer Health Educators hosted an It’s On Us pledge-signing table during the Women’s Basketball game against UTEP. Students, faculty and staff who signed the It’s On Us pledge received an It’s On Us T-shirt.
The White House campaign’s can be signed online at . It asks participants to:
- Recognize that non-consensual sex is sexual assault.
- Identify situations in which sexual assault may occur.
- Intervene in situations where consent has not or cannot be given.
- Create an environment in which sexual assault is unacceptable and survivors are supported.
