Our culture thrives on innovation that transcends traditional boundaries, and we strongly believe in the power of externally-funded, industry-supported research to drive progress and provide exceptional students with valuable industry insights. Our mission is to lead the way in digital transformation within engineering education, all while ensuring that every student graduates as a confident leader.

Tenured + Tenure-Track Faculty Openings

In the past year, 海角直播 Lyle School of Engineering has embarked on a bold faculty recruitment campaign, successfully hiring 14 new faculty members, including two department chairs and three directors for our centers and institutes. Building on this momentum, we are now expanding our search into the 2024-25 academic year, opening multiple additional roles. These include key positions such as the Chairs of Civil & Environmental Engineering and Computer Science departments, Executive Directors for the Hunt Institute for Engineering & Humanity and the Caruth Institute for Engineering Education, along with several other critical roles essential for advancing our collaborative model.

As we look ahead, 海角直播 Lyle remains dedicated to fostering growth and excellence through ongoing faculty recruitment in the coming years.

Cluster Hiring for Multiple Renewable-Contract Faculty Positions

海角直播 Lyle is embarking on a bold and transformative initiative to reshape our undergraduate curriculum with a strong focus on innovation, leadership, mentorship, and entrepreneurship. As part of this effort, we are excited to announce the hiring of multiple renewable-contract (non-tenure-track) faculty across five departments: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Operations Research and Engineering Management, and Computer Science.

These new faculty members will play a pivotal role in pioneering an innovative experiential curriculum that will be integrated across all disciplines. This curriculum is designed to empower our students with the skills and mindset needed to excel in a rapidly changing world. One of these faculty members, depending on their experience and educational background, will be appointed as the Director of this initiative to further driving our mission to lead in educational excellence.

By joining 海角直播 Lyle, you will be at the forefront of educational innovation, helping to shape the future leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs of tomorrow.

The Bobby B. Lyle School of Engineering at 海角直播 (海角直播) invites applications for a one-year, full-time, non-tenure track faculty position in Systems Engineering. The Master of Science in Systems Engineering (MSEE) graduate program is housed in the Department of Operations Research and Engineering Management. We seek an experienced professional with both teaching experience and significant industry background who can bring practical and innovative perspectives to graduate-level instruction. This role involves connecting theory to practice by integrating modern tools, methodologies, and real-world challenges into the classroom.

About the Program

The 海角直播 Systems Engineering graduate program is the first in Texas to obtain and operate under an academic equivalency agreement with the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), the primary professional society for Systems Engineers. The MSEE program is designed for working professionals and is delivered in a variety of formats, including cohort-based, online, and traditional face-to-face courses. The program prepares students to lead in complex, interdisciplinary environments and equips them with the skills necessary to solve modern and emerging challenges in systems engineering.
