Favorite thing about 海角直播: After working at several public institutions, I can truly say that 海角直播 does a phenomenal job at allowing students and staff to connect their cultural and religious identities with affinity clubs and organizations on campus. There are many spaces for students to gather, reflect, and pray on campus.
Favorite place on campus: The Deason Innovation Gym! This is a place where you can make anything come to life. Wanna learn to crochet or make a 3D figurine of yourself? Go to the DIG.
Favorite place in Dallas: The Bishop Arts District is a unique place to check out boutiques with handmade goods, get a sweet treat at Emporium Pies, or check out galleries to stare at art that may or may not make sense.
Favorite restaurant near campus: If you don’t mind a short drive, I would definitely recommend Pho is for Lovers in Greenville. If you want a comforting bowl of hearty soup or want a loaded Bánh mì, this is the place to go!
What I recommend during your stay in Dallas: If you’re here for the weekend, check out the musical scene in Dallas! Places like Revelers Hall in Bishop Arts has a variety of live music happening multiple days a week. You can hear everything from Jazz to Salsa and even Hard Rock! You may see me throwing it down on the dance floor.
